Deez restaurant in Qualicum Beach is scheduled to close its doors on August 22, marking the end of 25 years of business.
Eli Brennan, the founder and operating partner of Moments Hospitality, stated that the decision to close is part of a long-term plan to reimagine the property. Moments Hospitality acquired the restaurant three years ago.
To support the staff, every current employee at Deez has been offered employment at another restaurant operated by Moments Hospitality, which includes locations such as the Nanoose Bay Cafe, Qualicum Beach Cafe, and Greenview Taphouse locally, as well as Water Street Cafe and 2nd Floor Gastown in Vancouver.
