Def Leppard Advances New Diverse Album, Targets Early 2027 Release

Def Leppard is making steady progress on their next studio album, which the band aims to release in early 2027. The group has already issued the single “Rejoice,” launched earlier this year to align with their Las Vegas concert residency. Frontman Joe Elliott explained that the band recorded new material in the casino’s basement during off‑days from the residency, while guitarist Phil Collen said work on the album continued even amid a busy summer of festival performances. The members described the project as their most stylistically diverse effort yet, emphasizing enjoyment over commercial ambition.

In addition to the forthcoming album, Def Leppard and Collen’s side project Manraze have celebrated the release of the comprehensive box set “Lock, Stock & Barrel – The Complete Recordings,” which compiles the band’s output from 2008‑2011, including two albums, B‑sides, live tracks and previously unheard recordings. Collen also noted a recent visit to Sex Pistols drummer Paul Cook on Cook’s 70th birthday.
