Def Leppard aims to release 13th studio album in early 2027
Def Learght vocalist Joe Elliott says the band's 13th studio album is slated for an early‑2027 release. The record follows 2022’s *Diamond Star Halos* and will arrive after the February launch of the lead single “Rejoice”.
Elliott explained that the band recorded new material during a Las Vegas residency, setting up a makeshift studio in a casino basement on days off. About 18 songs have been written, with the band planning to select 10‑11 for the final album. He described the material as ranging from the fastest song they have ever recorded to a “ridiculously over‑the‑top, bombastic” track, highlighting the eclectic direction.
The group intends to keep working on the album through its summer 2026 tour, aiming to finish mixing by the end of that tour so the album can be released early next year.
