Def Leppard Insists on Live Vocals at Germany's Wacken Festival

Guitarist Phil Collen told reporters at the Wacken Open Air festival in Germany that Def Leppard sings all of its vocals live, a practice he says many contemporary acts have abandoned. He emphasized the band’s extensive rehearsals, their pride in being “their own favorite band,” and the effort they put into production and performance.

Collen also highlighted a recent Las Vegas residency, noting that four of the twelve shows ranked among the band’s best ever. The group is currently working on new material following their 2022 album *Diamond Star Halos*, with the single “Rejoice” released as a preview of the upcoming record.
