Defender of the Crown: The Legend Returns launches on modern consoles

The classic 1986 strategy game Defender of the Crown has returned with a modern revival titled ‘Defender of the Crown: The Legend Returns’. Developed by Black Tower Basement and published by Nordcurrent, the remake brings the medieval English conquest gameplay to modern platforms.

Players take on the role of a noble attempting to unify a fractured England by managing resources, raising armies, and attacking castles. This version features modernized graphics, quality-of-life improvements, and procedurally generated maps to ensure varied gameplay sessions. The title is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and GOG.
