Defense manufacturers Colt CZ Group and STV Group report significant profit growth
Major defense manufacturers Colt CZ Group SE and STV Group have reported significant financial growth, driven largely by increased demand for ammunition and military equipment related to the conflict in Ukraine.
Colt CZ Group SE reported a 72.7% increase in net profit for the first half of 2026, reaching 1.6 billion CZK. The company's revenues rose by 44.2% to 15.9 billion CZK, supported by organic growth in traditional segments and the consolidation of the energy materials segment following the acquisition of Synthesia Nitrocellulose and Synthesia Power. CEO Radek Musil noted that the company is raising its full-year outlook for both revenue and adjusted EBITDA.
STV Group achieved a record year in 2025, with net profit rising nearly 40% to 7.5 billion CZK (approximately 310 million EUR). Group revenues more than doubled to 24.4 billion CZK (roughly 1 billion EUR). The company attributed this success to the war in Ukraine, noting a shift from selling third-party stock to supplying its own manufactured ammunition, including 155mm, 152mm, and 122mm artillery shells.
