Serbian Defense Minister inspects military infrastructure and industry
Serbian Defense Minister Bratislav Gašić has conducted several visits focused on the modernization of military infrastructure and the domestic defense industry.
At the Pasuljanske livade training ground, new accommodation facilities are being constructed. This project marks a significant development 27 years after previous structures were destroyed during the 1999 NATO bombing. The new infrastructure includes two container blocks—one for housing and another for kitchen and dining services—to replace the tents previously used by personnel. The goal is to provide modern living and rest conditions for soldiers, cadets, and Ministry of Defense members during training.
Gašić also visited the defense manufacturing hubs in Kragujevac, specifically Zastava oružje and Zastava TERVO. During these visits, he reviewed production capacities for cannons and machine guns, discussed investment projects to enhance domestic defense capabilities, and met with leadership and employees. He emphasized the importance of transferring expertise to new generations to ensure the production of advanced weaponry for the Serbian military.
