Defense ministries announce NATO roles and career development initiatives

The Croatian Ministry of Defence has issued an internal call to fill several NATO positions. The vacancies include a Branch Head for Country Engagement at SHAPE in Mons, Belgium; an Air Surveillance staff officer at the Combined Air Operations Centre in Torrejon, Spain; and a Watchkeeper at the Joint Force Command in Naples, Italy. These assignments are scheduled to begin in July 2027 for a period of up to four years.

Separately, the Ministry of Defence in Montenegro held a meeting regarding the launch of a pilot career development project for civil servants. The initiative aims to strengthen institutional capacity by implementing a structured model for professional growth, which includes identifying development needs, defining professional goals, and monitoring results. The project emphasizes individual approaches and ethical protocols regarding data protection and confidentiality.
