Defense responds to indictment of police officer in shooting case

Lawyers for a military police officer have issued a statement following the Public Ministry's decision to indict him for the attempted qualified murder and bodily injury of motorcycle mechanic Willian Wink.

The defense team, composed of Jader Gilberto Martins dos Santos and Márcio Rosano Dias, stated they are receiving the indictment with institutional respect and will await full access to the investigative files and evidence. They emphasized that a technical analysis of the case can only be performed after a thorough examination of the entire evidentiary record and noted that any merit-based statements made before this process would be premature.
