DeFi Technologies granted 180-day Nasdaq extension
Toronto-based financial technology firm DeFi Technologies has been granted a 180-day extension by Nasdaq to meet the exchange’s $1 minimum bid price requirement. The company, which operates Valour exchange-traded products, received the extension after its common shares (ticker: DEFT) closed below $1 for 30 consecutive business days.
The initial compliance window expired on September 1, 2026. DeFi Technologies remains eligible for this second period because it continues to meet other listing standards, including the market value requirements for publicly held shares. To regain compliance, the company’s closing bid price must reach at least $1.00 for a minimum of ten consecutive trading days at some point before the new deadline in early March 2027.
While the notification does not immediately impact the trading of shares, the company noted there is no guarantee it will meet the requirements within the additional timeframe. DeFi Technologies is also listed on Cboe Canada, with additional quotes on exchanges in Frankfurt and Brazil.
