Defkaz Records and Mikri Skini host avant-garde music event in Thessaloniki

Defkaz Records and the historic Mikri Skini venue in Thessaloniki are collaborating to host two nights of avant-garde and improvisational music. The event marks two significant milestones: the 20th anniversary of Defkaz Records and the centenary of the Mikri Skini venue.

The program features eight distinguished artists focused on musical dialogue and innovative soundscapes. On Friday, September 25, Swedish pianist and composer Alex Zethson will perform a solo program. His work blends jazz with minimalism, drone, electroacoustic composition, and contemporary classical music, exploring post-minimalist expressive forms.

The event also coincides with the release of the album ‘SERRAT’ by Defkaz Records, featuring Catalan saxophonist Liba Villavecchia and percussionist Vasco Trilla.
