Deggendorf District Court begins triple murder trial
A trial is beginning at the Deggendorf District Court against a 38-year-old man accused of triple murder in Lower Bavaria. The case stems from the discovery of three bodies in a multi-family house in June 2025.
According to prosecutors, the defendant allegedly murdered two female neighbors to achieve sexual gratification. Investigators state the first woman was strangled with a cable, after which her body was dismembered, with her upper body found in a refrigerator and her legs left in a sports bag in a forest.
The second woman was allegedly killed using a beer bottle and at least 13 hammer blows before being suffocated with plastic wrap. The defendant is also accused of killing the life partner of the second woman with a hammer to cover up the previous crimes.
