Dehn and Celsion fire‑protection system survives 33 min at 900 °C in Stuttgart test

Dehn and Celsion have created an "E30" fire‑safety solution that combines surge‑protection devices with a fire‑resistant CK30‑SHW housing. The system was subjected to a real‑fire trial at the Material Testing Institute of the University of Stuttgart, where it endured temperatures exceeding 900 °C and direct flame exposure for 33 minutes. During the test the solution kept fire‑alarm, voice‑alarm and safety‑lighting installations functional, meeting the 30‑minute minimum required by the Muster‑Leitungsanlagen‑Richtlinie (MLAR) and providing a documented safety margin.

The successful trial validates the combined approach of electrical and structural fire protection, supporting the growing emphasis on documented, certified and low‑maintenance safety components for critical infrastructure such as fire‑alarm and evacuation systems.
