Türkiye enterprises show rising digital and social media usage

According to the 2026 Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Usage Survey by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), digital integration among Turkish enterprises is increasing. Approximately 92.7% of businesses with at least 10 employees utilize fixed-line internet connections. Among these, 52.9% have connection speeds of 100 Mbps or higher.

Social media usage among enterprises rose to 57.7% in 2026, up from 55.2% in 2025. This adoption is most prevalent in publishing, radio-TV, and content activities (93.9%), while it is lowest in construction (40.7%). Additionally, the proportion of businesses conducting e-sales via the internet or Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) grew to 17.1% in 2025, up from 13.6% in 2024.

In a related development regarding digital empowerment, the platform Shopalm is facilitating digital commerce for female entrepreneurs. Founded in early 2021, the platform allows women to create online stores without extensive technical knowledge, helping them reach broader markets through social media, e-commerce infrastructure, and digital payment systems.
