Dehradun T20 League 2026 launches inaugural season in September

The inaugural Dehradun T20 League will run from 2 to 9 September 2026 at the Abhimanyu Cricket Academy in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Six franchise teams – Rishikesh Dragons, Doiwala Kings, Mussoorie Thunder, Herbertpur Knightriders, Vikasnagar Dhamaka and Selaqui Strikers – will contest 18 matches (15 league games, two semi‑finals and a final). Player trials approved by the Cricket Association of Uttarakhand attracted 650 registrations, with more than 350 cricketers taking part before a shortlist entered the draft.

The league, overseen by CAU chief patron PC Verma and former BCCI vice‑president Mahim Verma, is intended to nurture young talent. Matches will be streamed live on FanCode, bringing the new Uttarakhand franchise competition to a national audience.
