DEI-HELEXPO management meets with Rena Dourou regarding 90th Thessaloniki Fair

Rena Dourou, President of the SYRIZA-PS Parliamentary Group, met with the management of DEI-HELEXPO regarding the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair. Dourou emphasized that the fair is a vital component of the Thessaloniki economy and local identity, expressing interest in the ongoing redevelopment project and the involvement of the local community.

Christos Tsentemeidis, President of DEI-HELEXPO, noted that this 90th edition connects the institution's century-long history with its present and future. The current event features Japan as the guest of honor and includes 11 thematic sections. The future focus remains on the redevelopment project, which is proceeding according to specific timelines.

CEO Andreas Mavrommatis stated that the strategic goal is to transform the Thessaloniki International Exhibition and Conference Center into a hub for Southeast Europe. He highlighted that the redevelopment is planned to ensure the fair continues to operate smoothly during construction. The vision for the 'New DEI' is to serve as a multi-functional space for technology, innovation, culture, and entertainment, in addition to its traditional exhibition and conference roles.
