DEI launches zero‑cost solar PV solutions for Greek homes and businesses

Greek power utility DEI announced two new photovoltaic services – myEnergy SolarSmart for households and SolarSmartPro for enterprises. The programmes provide solar panels with no upfront equipment cost, a low activation fee and a fixed per‑kilowatt‑hour price locked for ten years. DEI guarantees at least a 20 % reduction in annual electricity bills and covers study, installation, operation, maintenance and insurance throughout the contract period. The offers target customers consuming more than 8,500 kWh per year and include optional battery storage, aiming to increase energy self‑sufficiency and cost stability for both residential and business users.

The initiative is part of DEI’s broader push to expand clean‑energy uptake in Greece by removing financial barriers and providing long‑term price certainty.
