Deichbrand Festival 2026 concludes peacefully in Germany

The four‑day Deichbrand Festival took place from 15 to 20 July 2026 in Wanhöden on the Wurster North Sea coast. Daily attendance reached up to 60,000 people, with more than 100 acts performing, including Rise Against, SDP, Sido and Scooter. A public viewing of the World Cup final was also held on the grounds.

Police reported a calm event, registering only about 65 minor offences – mainly ticket‑less entry attempts, light injuries and a few thefts – far fewer than in previous years. Approximately 200 officers from several German police districts were on site, monitoring traffic, alcohol‑ and drug‑related incidents and ensuring safety. Traffic congestion occurred at the arrival stations, and a few minor accidents were recorded, but departure went smoothly.

Weather was largely favorable, with sunny and hot conditions early in the week, turning windy and briefly rainy on the final night. Organisers and police praised the security concepts, noting that the festival finished without major disturbances and that ticket sales for the 2027 edition will open shortly.
