Deion Sanders addresses Julian Lewis's future at Colorado

Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders has addressed the uncertain status of quarterback Julian Lewis following the team's 57-23 loss to Oklahoma State. When asked if Lewis could work his way back into the starting lineup, Sanders responded, “That’s on him,” suggesting the player's future with the program depends on his own actions.

Lewis, who has not seen the field in four weeks, was benched during a game against Baylor and subsequently refused to play the following week against Texas Tech. The situation has been marked by rumors of a potential transfer and social media criticism from the player's family. Sanders defended his coaching approach, stating, “I don't play games with young men and their careers and hate on folks. If anything, I’m too forgiving.”

The Buffaloes currently hold a 2-5 record and sit at the bottom of the Big 12 standings, having lost five consecutive games.
