Deion Sanders Declares He Is Cancer‑Free After Bladder Cancer Battle

Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders announced that he is cancer‑free following a high‑grade bladder cancer diagnosis. The tumor, discovered in July 2025, required removal of his bladder and reconstruction, part of a series of 14 surgeries that also included treatment for blood‑clot complications and the amputation of two toes.

Sanders told Good Morning America he has his health, energy, and “swagger” back and is ready to resume coaching. He credited his doctors, family and faith for helping him through the ordeal and expressed gratitude for the support he received during his recovery.
