Deion Sanders leads Colorado Buffaloes through roster overhaul

After undergoing bladder removal and reconstruction surgery due to cancer, Sanders reported being cancer-free and physically ready to lead the program through a significant rebuilding phase.

The Buffaloes have undergone an extensive offseason overhaul, including the hiring of new offensive and defensive coordinators and the addition of 66 new players to the roster. The program faces high expectations for the upcoming season, as Sanders seeks to stabilize the team after a period of inconsistent performance.

Among the players looking to make an impact is second-year wide receiver Quentin Gibson. After serving as a primary kickoff returner during his freshman season, the former Texas high school standout aims to expand his offensive role. Gibson, who recorded 597 return yards last year, has already drawn attention during early camp practices with his playmaking ability.
