Deion Sanders receives prosthetic toes after amputation

Deion Sanders, the University of Colorado head coach and former football star, has received prosthetic toes to replace those lost following an amputation. His son, Deion Sanders Jr., shared a video documenting the moment Sanders received the prosthetics for his left foot.

The medical procedure followed complications from a 2022 surgery intended to address a dislocated toe and an inflamed nerve. During that procedure, doctors discovered serious blood clots, including one in the femoral artery, which led to the amputation.

Sanders expressed optimism about the milestone, stating he is “10 toes down again.” He noted that he is currently adjusting to the new prosthetics, jokingly remarking that the new toes and his existing ones need time to get used to one another.
