Deir ez-Zor launches rubble recycling project for reconstruction

The ‘Fajr al-Furat’ project has launched in Deir ez-Zor to remove and recycle rubble from damaged buildings. The 18-month initiative aims to support reconstruction efforts by converting debris into construction materials.

Supervised by the governorate and implemented by the city council in cooperation with Zoom Investment Holding Group, the project began operations in the Al-Rashidiya neighborhood. The scope is expected to expand to include the cities of Al-Bukamal and Al-Mayadin.

Debris removal is being provided free of charge to residents and both public and private facilities. Property owners are required to register their property data and necessary documentation with the group to schedule removals. The recycled materials will be used to produce paving stones, blocks, concrete, and asphalt for roadwork.
