Dejan Ljubicic denies transfer rumors to LASK

FC Schalke 04 midfielder Dejan Ljubicic has denied rumors regarding a potential transfer to the Austrian club LASK, which recently qualified for the Champions League.

Following reports from footballtransfers.com suggesting interest from LASK and another unnamed club, the 28-year-old Austrian international addressed the speculation during a media round. Ljubicic stated, “There is nothing to it. I am a Schalke player. I came in the winter and signed for two years.”

Despite his denial, Ljubicic noted the unpredictable nature of professional football, citing his own previous departure from Dinamo Zagreb shortly after signing a long-term contract. He remains under contract with Schalke 04 until 2028. The rumors emerge as the transfer window approaches its deadline, with Schalke reportedly seeking additional revenue.
