New Orleans Pelicans guard Dejounte Murray discussed his return to the court following a torn Achilles suffered in January 2025. Despite the Pelicans sitting near the bottom of the Western Conference, Murray chose to return for 14 games late in the season to pursue a play-in tournament spot. During those appearances, he averaged 16.7 points, 6.4 assists, and 5.4 rebounds. Murray stated his motivation was not to prove critics wrong, but to prove himself right and demonstrate that players can recover from significant injuries.
