Dejuan Lane named Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week

Tennessee Volunteers safety Dejuan Lane has been named the Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week following his performance against the Auburn Tigers.

During the 24-14 victory over Auburn, Lane recorded nine tackles, two sacks, 2.5 tackles for loss, and an interception. Lane is the ninth Tennessee player to receive this honor from the Walter Camp Foundation, marking the first time a Volunteer has achieved the distinction since Darrell Taylor in 2018.

A junior defensive back who transferred from Penn State, Lane has become a central figure in a Tennessee defense that currently leads the country in sacks. The Volunteers hold a 4-1 record and are scheduled to face the Arkansas Razorbacks in their next matchup.
