DEL and Swiss National League set 2026–27 season regulations

The Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) and the Swiss National League have finalized operational, broadcasting, and roster regulations for the 2026–27 season.

In Germany, the DEL's 33rd season will run from September 17, 2026, to April 30, 2027. The league features 14 teams, including defending champions Eisbären Berlin and newly promoted Krefeld Pinguine. The season includes a break in November for the Deutschland Cup in Düsseldorf. MagentaSport, under a multi-year agreement with Deutsche Telekom, will maintain exclusive live rights for all regular-season and playoff games.

In Switzerland, the National League will utilize a media rights framework involving MySports and the SRG SSR public broadcasting network. This structure provides nationwide coverage through subscription streaming and selected free-to-air broadcasts to maximize domestic reach.
