Del Arno Band to celebrate 40 years with Belgrade concert

Del Arno Band, the most influential reggae group in the region, will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a major concert on September 19 at the Botanical Garden Jevremovac in Belgrade. Organized by the production house Long Play, the event will feature former band members and surprise guests.

Founded in 1986 by Jovan Matić, the group was the first original reggae ensemble in the former Yugoslavia. Over four decades, the band has released eight albums and played a significant role in establishing reggae as a recognized genre in the region. Matić, a former AFP journalist, noted that the band has remained committed to the core messages of reggae—understanding, tolerance, and love—throughout the region's turbulent history.
