Del Bjork profiled for football career and coaching ties

Del Bjork, a retired Army Colonel and former professional football player, has been profiled for his athletic achievements and his connection to legendary Astoria High School coach John Warren.

Bjork, who played as a tackle, earned a football scholarship to the University of Oregon and was later drafted by the Chicago Bears. During his professional career in 1938, he was named All-Pro. Bjork credits much of his success to the fundamental training and perfectionism instilled in him by Warren during his time at Astoria High School.
