Del Mar Thoroughbred Club hosts Grade 1 Pacific Classic Stakes

The Del Mar Thoroughbred Club is hosting its flagship summer meet card, headlined by the Grade 1, $1 million Pacific Classic Stakes. The race serves as a premier qualifier for the Breeders’ Cup Classic. The field for the Pacific Classic includes 11 expected entries, notably Knightsbridge, who holds a high Beyer speed figure, and Om N Joy, a female contender seeking to follow in the footsteps of Beholder.

The event features a total of 11 races, including three other graded stakes: the Del Mar Oaks (G1), the Green Flash (G2), and the Del Mar Mile (G2). Other notable runners mentioned for the undercard include Kensington Lane for the Oaks and Almendares for the Mile.
