DELAIN announces creative shift and new single ‘We Are Fire’

The symphonic metal band DELAIN has announced a significant creative transformation, moving toward a collaborative musical model rather than seeking a single replacement for departing vocalist Diana Leah. The band is opening its musical world to a diverse cast of musicians and vocalists to provide different perspectives and identities to the project.

As part of this new era, the band released the single ‘We Are Fire’, featuring contributions from Fabienne Erni, Noa Gruman, and Paolo Ribaldini. The new lineup will include various well-known artists such as Marko Hietala, Sharon den Adel, Anneke van Giersbergen, and Fabienne Erni, some of whom are expected to join the band on stage.

Founder and keyboardist Martijn Westerholt, who remains at the core of the project alongside Ludovico Cioffi, Ronald Landa, and Sander Zoer, stated that the new direction is about embracing different voices that share a common spirit. The transition marks the official departure of Diana Leah after several years with the group.
