Delaware Arrests Two Men in Separate Burglary Cases
A 30‑year‑old man, Deberson Jean Baptiste, was arrested in Milford, Delaware, on charges that include second‑degree burglary, breach of bond conditions, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal mischief. Police say he entered a residence on Columbia Street while children were present, damaging property. His prior bond was revoked and a new $14,100 secured bond was set, with a no‑contact order issued.
Separately, 53‑year‑old Eric Jackson was taken into custody in Wilmington after Delaware State Police linked him to a series of overnight business burglaries. Investigators allege Jackson used a scooter to approach and break into multiple stores, shattering glass with a hammer and stealing merchandise. He faces four felony counts, including wearing a disguise during a felony and possession of burglary tools. Stolen items were recovered from his scooter after his arrest.
