Delaware law enforcement arrests multiple individuals in separate firearm incidents

Law enforcement agencies in Delaware have conducted two separate operations resulting in multiple arrests involving firearms.

In Dover, the Dover Police Department arrested four men—Daniel Michel, 21; Neshawn Gibbs, 19; Taron Marsh, 22; and Nasir Peace, 19—following a traffic stop on September 18. Officers discovered two loaded handguns inside a silver Chrysler Town and Country: a Smith & Wesson 9mm and a Springfield .40-caliber pistol. The suspects face various charges, including possession of a firearm or ammunition by a prohibited person, with cash bonds ranging from $6,000 to $25,150.

In Felton, Delaware State Police arrested 55-year-old John Baker following a late-night confrontation in a barn on September 17. Authorities report that Baker entered a barn, engaged in a verbal dispute, and assaulted a man before pointing a handgun at two individuals and firing a shot into the air. Baker was taken into custody after calling 911 the following day. He faces multiple felony charges, including first-degree burglary, aggravated menacing, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was committed to the Delaware Department of Correction on a $116,600 cash bond.
