Venezuela honors top students and advances La Guaira reconstruction

Venezuelan President Delcy Rodríguez led a national ceremony to honor 439 high school graduates who achieved a perfect 20-point average. The government has instructed educational authorities to guarantee these students admission to their chosen universities, providing scholarships, social assistance, and digital tools to support their studies.

Rodríguez noted that 52% of these top-performing students come from public schools, while 48% are from private institutions. She encouraged graduates to pursue careers vital to national development, specifically in healthcare and engineering sectors like petroleum and civil engineering.

In a separate effort, the President visited La Guaira to oversee the reopening of strategic businesses and discuss the reconstruction of housing for those affected by recent seismic activity. She emphasized the government's commitment to restoring infrastructure and economic dynamism in the coastal region.
