Venezuela formalizes bid to host 2030 Central American and Caribbean Games
Acting President Delcy Rodríguez has officially submitted documentation to Centro Caribe Sports to propose Caracas as the host city for the 2030 Central American and Caribbean Games. The formal presentation took place at the Miraflores Palace during a meeting with Luis Mejía Oviedo, the president of Centro Caribe Sports.
The bid aims to showcase Venezuela’s recovery and capacity to host major international events. The proposal includes plans to develop and adapt sports, tourism, and accommodation infrastructure within the capital city. If successful, Caracas would host the multi-sport event for the first time since 1959.
Following the submission, the Centro Caribe Sports executive committee will begin a validation process of the documentation. The decision will be presented to the organization’s assembly to determine the official host for the 2030 edition.
