Delek US Holdings joins S&P SmallCap 600 index

Delek US Holdings, Inc. saw its stock price rise by more than 5% following the announcement that the oil refining company will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 index. The inclusion is part of a regular quarterly rebalancing by S&P Dow Jones Indices and is scheduled to become effective before the market opens on Monday, Sept. 21.

In addition to the index inclusion, institutional activity has been notable. Wellington Management Group LLP disclosed a new position in the company during the second quarter, purchasing 209,874 shares valued at approximately $10,664,000. Other investors, including Allworth Financial LP and Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., also acquired stakes in the company during recent quarters.
