deleteC expands cancer research support campaign through February 2027
The NPO deleteC has announced the expansion of its “deleteC Operation 2026,” a campaign aimed at supporting cancer treatment research through public donations and awareness. Originally held primarily during September, the campaign period will now be extended from September 1, 2026, through February 28, 2027, to allow more organizations and schools to participate according to their own schedules.
The initiative utilizes “Casual Social Action” (CSA), where everyday activities are linked to donations. For example, social media engagement—such as posting or reacting to specific content—can trigger monetary contributions to research. Other methods include purchasing designated products at supermarkets or drugstores and participating in various community activities.
Suntory Beverage & Food has joined the campaign, planning to use its brands, C.C. Lemon and Dekavita C, to encourage participation. Supporters can post images of these products with the “#deleteC大作戦” hashtag to drive engagement. To date, deleteC has provided over 60 million yen in grants to 14 researchers focusing on various cancers, including pediatric, cervical, gastric, lung, breast, and pancreatic cancers.
