Delfin Shipbuilding develops 37-meter unmanned combat vessel

The Bulgarian shipbuilding and repair company Delfin is constructing Proteus, a 37-meter unmanned surface vessel designed for modern maritime combat operations. The platform is capable of engaging aerial, surface, and underwater adversaries.

Proteus can reach a maximum speed of 32 knots and has a range exceeding 400 nautical miles. Its primary equipment includes a 3D radar, a weapon guidance radar, an electro-optical system, and a 30-millimeter artillery unit. The vessel features an open rear deck capable of holding up to four standard 20-foot containers, which can be swapped within an hour to suit specific mission requirements.

Depending on the mission, the vessel can be equipped with up to eight anti-ship missiles, anti-aircraft missiles, or torpedo tubes for underwater combat. Additionally, the platform is designed for electronic warfare, mine laying, and mine countermeasures. The ship can be operated remotely from the shore or by an onboard crew.
