Mexican state leaders report progress in security and infrastructure

Various Mexican state administrations are reporting on legislative progress, infrastructure, and social welfare initiatives.

In Morelos, Governor Margarita González Saravia reported a 51 percent decrease in the daily average of intentional homicides between November 2024 and July 2026. The administration has also expanded educational access by opening 23 new high schools to support approximately 10,000 students.

In the State of Mexico, Governor Delfina Gómez announced a major infrastructure plan for the second half of her term, including the completion of Mexicable Line 3 and several Mexibús lines. Her administration also plans to establish four new universities and launch the 'Clínica de Salud Bienestar Contigo' program to provide medical services to 300,000 women in poverty.

In Sinaloa, Governor Graciela Domínguez Nava and the Morena parliamentary group presented their second legislative report, focusing on security, women's rights, and social justice. Additionally, the state government is working with the Association of Families of Fallen Police Officers to support local small businesses. Governor Domínguez also visited the Las Aguamitas fishing community to provide aid to families affected by high tides.
