Dutch municipalities install new mayor‑alderman colleges in June 2026

In late June 2026 several Dutch towns held formal ceremonies to install new municipal colleges and appoint council members.

Ackershof 2 swore in five aldermen under Mayor Björn Lugthart, while Haaksbergen’s new college of mayor and aldermen was led by Mayor Gerard van den Hengel, introducing two debutants to the executive board. Lisse confirmed its coalition and appointed new aldermen such as Vincent Scheurwater (CDA).

Separately, Alphen aan den Rijn transferred four electric crisis‑response vehicles to Officieren van Dienst Bevolkingszorg, enhancing regional emergency presence.
