Delhi: 13-year-old girl dies by suicide in Shahdara

A 13-year-old girl died by suicide at her residence in the Krishna Nagar area of Shahdara, Delhi, after reportedly being scolded by her family for returning home late.

According to preliminary police inquiries, the girl's sister discovered her in an unconscious state after she was found hanging. The sister had attempted to contact the girl multiple times via phone around 9:30 pm while at work, but received no response. After rushing home and raising an alarm, the girl was taken to Dr Hedgewar Hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

Delhi police responded to a PCR call and have initiated legal proceedings. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
