Delhi: 71-year-old woman killed in Greater Kailash road accident

A 71-year-old woman named Shashi was killed on Sunday after being struck by a vehicle near the Kailash Colony Metro Station in Greater Kailash-1, Delhi. According to police, the driver allegedly hit multiple vehicles before striking the woman and her 65-year-old husband, Kulbhushan.

Shashi was rushed to Moolchand Hospital, where she was declared brought dead. Kulbhushan sustained injuries but was later declared fit to provide a statement to authorities. The Delhi Police have arrested the accused driver and registered a case under sections 281, 125(a), and 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), covering charges related to rash driving and causing death through negligence. Investigations into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
