Delhi businessman robbed of Rs 2.5 crore in Timarpur burglary
Police in Delhi are investigating a burglary at the Rivera Apartments in Timarpur, where cash, gold, and diamond jewelry worth approximately Rs 2.5 crore were stolen. The theft occurred while the homeowner, businessman Anuj Gupta, and his family were traveling in Australia.
The incident was discovered on a Sunday morning by the businessman’s nephew, who found the apartment door open and belongings scattered. While the businessman’s brother, Anshul, had returned home the previous evening, the theft was not immediately detected.
Two domestic employees, identified as Anil and Vicky, are the primary suspects. Investigators believe the pair had keys to the residence and may have been aware of the valuables kept inside. CCTV footage from the apartment complex and surrounding areas reportedly shows the movement of the two suspects. Both individuals are currently absconding, and police teams have been formed to locate them.
