Delhi Cabinet approves Go-Delhi Foundation for startups
The Delhi Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, has approved the establishment of the Go-Delhi Foundation to foster innovation and entrepreneurship within the national capital. Operating as a not-for-profit company under the Department of Industries, the foundation has been allocated an initial budget of ₹50 crore.
The initiative is designed to support startups and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by providing a centralized platform for product development. Key services will include technical guidance, mentorship, incubation, and access to prototyping, laboratories, and testing facilities. The foundation aims to bridge the gap between entrepreneurial talent, research institutions, and investors to help transform early-stage ideas into market-ready products.
This move follows the approval of the Delhi Start-up and Incubation Policy in July, a ₹400 crore plan intended to establish incubation centers across state-run higher education institutions and colleges.
