Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launches Mission Kayaklp to revamp government schools

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the launch of “Mission Kayaklp,” a programme aimed at converting government schools across the capital into safe, clean, modern and inspiring learning centres. The initiative focuses on extensive infrastructure upgrades, including repair and painting of school buildings, renovation of dilapidated toilets, installation of RO water plants and water‑coolers, modernisation of science laboratories and the provision of facilities for children with special needs.

Implementation involves district administrations, the education department, corporate‑social‑responsibility partners, NGOs and local communities. Gupta said that several schools have already seen visible transformations, with improved facilities and a more positive environment for students. The government pledged to continue strengthening school infrastructure to raise the overall quality of education in Delhi.
