Delhi CM Rekha Gupta to launch spiritual and heritage tourism circuits

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced plans to transform the national capital into a major destination for religious and spiritual tourism. Speaking at the ‘Spiritual and Heritage Tourism Conclave 2026’, Gupta stated that the government aims to move Delhi beyond its reputation as a mere transit hub for travelers.

Gupta described the city as a “microcosm” of India, noting that it reflects the traditions, cultures, and festivals of various states, including Gujarat, Rajasthan, Kerala, and Assam. The proposed strategy involves launching tourism circuits designed to showcase the city’s rich spiritual, religious, and cultural heritage to both domestic and international visitors.
