Delhi CNG station explosion kills one and injures several

A fatal explosion occurred at a compressed natural gas (CNG) filling station in the Tikri Kalan area of Delhi on Wednesday afternoon. The blast took place at approximately 3:37 pm while a truck carrying gas cylinders was being refilled.

One person, identified as 25-year-old Manish from Baba Haridas Colony, was killed in the incident. At least five to six people sustained injuries due to the blast and were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Reports indicate that a fire preceded the explosion, causing significant panic among those present at the station.

The Delhi Fire Service dispatched six fire tenders to the scene to manage the situation and prevent further escalation. Authorities have since sealed the pump, and an investigation is underway to determine whether the cause was a gas leak or a technical failure in the refilling system.
