Delhi government appoints Sub-Registrars via technology-based randomisation

The Delhi government has implemented a new technology-based randomisation process to appoint Sub-Registrars across all 39 sub-divisions in the city. This move is intended to increase transparency, fairness, and efficiency in administrative postings.

As part of this overhaul, the number of Sub-Registrar offices has been expanded from 22 to 39, ensuring that each of the city’s 39 sub-divisions under its 13 revenue districts has its own office. This expansion aims to bring registration and revenue-related services closer to residents.

Officers selected through the technology-assisted system met specific criteria, including vigilance clearance, sufficient remaining service tenure, and good health. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that the objective is to strengthen administrative systems to make them more organized and convenient for citizens, urging the new appointees to serve with honesty and dedication.
