Delhi government hospitals to introduce Patient Navigator system

Delhi government hospitals are preparing to introduce a ‘Patient Navigator’ system to assist patients in navigating hospital premises. The initiative aims to help patients, particularly the elderly and first-time visitors, locate registration counters, doctors, diagnostic centers, and pharmacy counters.

Under this system, trained staff or volunteers will act as guides to provide essential information and reduce the time patients spend wandering through complex hospital layouts. A trial phase will be conducted in selected hospitals to evaluate the system's effectiveness before a potential wider rollout.
