India launches 2026 recruitment drives for academic and government jobs

Several Indian educational and government bodies announced recruitment for 2026, covering research, engineering, environmental and administrative positions.

The Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhopal released a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) notification under the ANRF PAIR SAKSHAM project, with multiple thematic areas and an application deadline of 25 July 2026. Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad posted a single JRF vacancy in Electronics Engineering, due by 15 August 2026. The Indian Institute of Technology Indore also opened one JRF post in materials‑science‑related disciplines, with applications closing on 14 August 2026.

The Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) invited applications for seven Assistant Executive Engineer positions (civil and electrical), to be submitted offline by 5 August 2026. The District Child Protection Unit, Vellore, announced one Assistant cum Data Entry Operator role, with a deadline of 6 August 2026. The Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) issued a rolling advertisement for up to 54 posts across scientific, legal and technical categories, with the final phase closing on 31 August 2026.

Eligibility for the JRF posts includes a postgraduate degree and GATE/NET/CSIR qualifications, with a stipend of about ₹37,000 per month. DSIIDC offers pay‑level‑10 salaries ranging from ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500. The DCPU position pays ₹11,916 per month. DPCC appointments are on deputation or short‑term contract basis.
